Active Scar Prevention Products for Surgical Wounds

The scar prevention series includes two products: Conjunto de fechamento de incisão cirúrgica BI-FIX and ZI-FIX Skin Tension Reduction Device. Both products use the principle of active wound skin tension reduction. BI-FIX focuses on closing surgical wounds instead of stitches, while ZI-FIX focuses on continuous tension reduction after surgery. Function Principle

Active wound skin tension reduction could effectively prevent and treat wound scarring.

Skin Tension Reduction

Tension is one of the main causes of scar hyperplasia. Incisions with excessive tension are prone to form wider and larger scars during the healing process, affecting beauty and function. Long-term tension may cause scar contracture, which in turn causes local deformity and affects the patient’s quality of life.

Skin tension reduction is to pull the skin on both sides of the incision closer by physical methods, reduce the tension on the incision, thereby promoting healing and reducing scars. Research data show that reducing skin tension can prevent and treat scars.

BI-FIX is mainly used to replace suture closure surgery, avoiding puncture injuries of sutures, while providing skin tension reduction during wound healing (within 14 days), effectively inhibiting the proliferation of scars. ZI-FIX is used to continuously reduce the tension of the wound within 3 months after surgery, thereby effectively inhibiting the growth of scars. Both products are active surgical wound scar defense methods.
