On February 18, 2023, the “Guangdong Province VTE Prevention and Control Alliance 2023 Annual Conference” hosted by the National Pulmonary Embolism and Deep Vein Thrombosis Prevention and Control Capacity Building Project Office, Guangdong VTE Prevention and Control Alliance and the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University was successfully held in Guangzhou. The purpose of the meeting is to promote the academic exchange and promotion of VTE in the province, improve the level of clinical diagnosis and treatment, ensure the high-quality development of VTE prevention and treatment, and further enhance the overall capacity of VTE prevention and treatment in the province.
Haichuang Medical brought its self-developed new generation of DVT prevention product – DVT-A neuromuscular electrical stimulator to the annual meeting. We exchanged ideas with participating experts to promote the development of deep vein thrombosis prevention.

Professor Zhai Zhenguo said that the National Health and Medical Commission has incorporated VTE prevention and treatment capacity building into the medical quality management system, and included it in the top ten national treatment quality and safety improvement indicators in 2021, which is a new chapter in the history of my country’s VTE prevention and control work; the VTE prevention and treatment capacity building project is proposed Responsibilities and missions: To arouse more people’s attention and awareness of venous thrombosis, standardize and improve the management of high-risk groups of thrombosis, and build a platform for VTE prevention and treatment in my country.
Professor Zhu Siqi shared the theme of “Construction of VTE Center of Peking University Shenzhen Hospital”, and described how the hospital has grown from scratch to become a national excellent center for thrombosis prevention and treatment since the establishment of the VTE Prevention Office. These include the construction of an intelligent VTE prevention and control platform, which can quickly and effectively realize automatic scoring of assessment scales, intelligent early warning, early identification of potential VTE risks, and dynamic monitoring of VTE quality control indicators in the hospital, thereby establishing VTE prevention and management informatization closed loop system.
Professor Liu Chunli, Secretary-General of the Guangdong VTE Alliance, made a summary of the alliance’s work in 2022 and its outlook for 2023. During the three-year epidemic period, the alliance’s support and construction was mainly based on online MDT case discussions, covering 28 provinces across the country, 335 hospitals, and 1,038 person-times. At the same time, an alliance online inter-hospital referral channel has been established. Offline, we provide support to regional leaders in eastern Guangdong and western Guangdong, and truly radiate the influence of the alliance to grassroots units.
Professor Wei Li shared the VBP management and clinical rational use of anticoagulant drugs from the national consensus of Chinese experts. Director Wei described the management and rational use of anticoagulant drugs under the background of VBP fine management and shared the experience of the Department of Pharmacy in medical institutions. Responsibilities of key links in centralized procurement work and their clinical and clinical roles in this process.
Professor Fu Yingyun shared “The Choice of Anticoagulant Therapy for VTE Infected with New Coronary Virus”. Director Fu analyzed the importance of anticoagulation after COVID-19 infection through clinical COVID-19 cases, and analyzed the benefits and risk assessment of anticoagulation for patients with COVID-19 through domestic and foreign special disease guidelines , so as to know the drug treatment for patients with new crown and how to prevent the occurrence of VTE.
